A large amount of cash and a firearm were stolen during an armed home invasion. The incident happened around 11:30pm Saturday, May 29th in the Clayton city limits.
Clayton Police said five individuals were inside a residence in the Cobblestone subdivision when three unidentified suspects forced the rear door open and demanded money. One victim in the home was the apparent intended target, police believe.
Police said the three suspects beat the 20 year-old victim with a firearm then forced him to unlock a safe in his bedroom that reportedly contained $30,000, a 9mm pistol and other items they took.
The suspects left the area in an unknown vehicle.
Police Chief Greg Tart said investigators seized marijuana from the residence and are continuing to investigate the incident. The victim sustained minor injuries.
Sound like a drug dealer s home to me. Just my opinion.
20 year old with $30k cash…. This was not some random house they picked. Also the law took drugs from the home. Winner Winner this was drug house, and these people knew what they were coming to get.
