SMITHFIELD – Police are searching for a lone suspect who robbed the Boost Mobile store at 1006 N. Brightleaf Boulevard. The armed robbery was reported around 4:00pm Monday.
Police said two employees were working inside the business when the suspect entered and demanded money. The suspect was armed with a handgun. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was described as a black male in his late-20’s or early-30’s, 5 foot 10, 170 pounds, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and red jogging pants. He was also wearing a mask.
No injuries were reported.
