A Johnston County man with three previous DWI charges was arrested again for allegedly driving drunk during a traffic stop midday last Friday.
A SAFE Team deputy was on patrol southbound on Interstate 95 on Dec. 20th when he stopped a car driven by 43 year-old Israel Lee Judkins of Battlefield Road, Newton Grove. Officers arrested Judkins for driving while impaired. He registered 0.20 on the Breathalyzer, above the legal limit of 0.08, officials said.
Deputies determined Judkins was driving on a revoked license at the time of his arrest for three previous DWI charges. He was also wanted for probation violation.
He was charged with felony habitual impaired driving, misdemeanor driving while impaired, and misdemeanor driving on a revoked license for an impaired revocation. Bail was set at $100,000.
