Man Charged In 2022 Sexual Assault

KENLY – A 37 year-old man is charged with the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. The incident was reported to authorities in July 2024 after the young victim told a family member about the alleged assault.

Tyrone Davis Thomas of Jerusalem Church Road, Kenly was arrested September 14 and charged with felony taking indecent liberties with a child.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened in 2022 while the victim was living in Johnston County.

Thomas was also served with three unrelated failure to appear warrants from 2022 for injury to person property, resisting a public officer, and second degree trespassing.

Thomas was given a $50,000 secured bond on the indecent liberties warrant. He was given a $2,000 secured bond on the three failure to appear charges.

    • Christians that I know are against the death penalty – and NC doesn’t really execute people. Plus the criminal acts list that the death penalty would apply to would need to be updated by NC politicians – and well they are mostly conservative Christian men and women – so they proclaim. Except for that looney tune Robinson who while blasting abortion as killing an actual human – then spouts that some people just need killing. Is that pro-life?
