SELMA – Officers arrested a 31 year-old man following an investigation into a sexual assault. On Feb. 21, 2024, a 39 year-old woman told Selma Police she was sexually assaulted inside her apartment. The assault occurred Feb. 20. Police said the victim did not immediately report the assault because she was afraid.
The suspect, who was known by the victim, allegedly went to her apartment, and assaulted her. The victim was treated at the hospital for injuries.
Police obtained a warrant for the suspect and on March 4 charged Marco Antonio Solia-Reyes of White Street, Selma with second degree forcible rape.
