FOUR OAKS – A 56 year-old man was injured in a lawn tractor accident. The incident was reported around 11:00am Saturday in the 9900 block of Highway 301 South, near South Johnston High School.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said Robert Jordan of Four Oaks was operating a lawn tractor at his address when it overturned on top of him. A neighbor heard Jordan yelling for help and came to his aid. The neighbor used a farm tractor to lift the overturned mower off the victim.
Jordan was transported to the hospital by Johnston County EMS for treatment of his injuries. The Benson Fire Department also responded.
