A man just released from the hospital was seriously injured in a two vehicle accident Monday near Clayton. It happened around 5:00pm on Highway 42 West at the US 70 Bypass.
Two cars were involved. One of the vehicles overturned trapped one of the occupants inside. We’re told the man had just gotten out of the hospital. Firefighters had to stabilize the overturned car to remove the victim. He was rushed to Wake Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
The NC Highway Patrol is investigating.
