BUNNLEVEL – The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a man shot and killed this afternoon (Tuesday). At 3:14pm, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at a garage behind the U.S. Post Office in Bunnlevel.
Deputies arrived on the scene and located a male victim who had been shot multiple times. Deputies rendered first aid until EMS arrived on the scene where the victim was ultimately pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as Charles Edward Bias, age 51, of McLean Chapel Church Road, Bunnlevel.
In a news release, Sheriff Wayne Coats said a homicide investigation is underway and more information will be released as it becomes available.
