Man Who Pointed BB Gun At Drivers Arrested, JCSO Says
PRINCETON – A 30 year-old Princeton man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a BB pistol, which looked like a real firearm, at passing motorists.
Around 5:28pm Monday, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a driver an unknown man was walking alongside Old Cornwallis Road pointing a firearm at drivers. As deputies approached the area, a second motorist flagged down an officer and stated the man had pointed a gun at them as they drove past.
Officers located the suspect, Victor Alfonso Barahona, and reportedly noticed the handle from a gun inside his pants.
While being detained, Barahona allegedly told deputies, “I’m playing with people. It’s a BB gun. I’m sorry.”
Authorities said the gun closely resembled a real firearm and did not have the orange safety cap at the end of the barrel. The BB gun was seized as evidence.
Barahona, of the 2400 block of Old Rock Quarry Road, was charged with misdemeanor going armed to the terror of the public. He was given a $1,000 bond.

Maybe this “dude” should think about all the folks (like me) that carry a firearm – just in case someone points one at us!!! Could be a sorrowful outcome….
So that charge is a misdemeanor and $1,000 bond? You kidding me
That could have ended a whole lot differently.
$1,000 bond, what is wrong with the judge??? This man could have killed someone by scaring them so much they could have drove off the road. What is the matter with our legal system and what is wrong with people today? What are they thinking?
Simple affray ( simple assault ) misdemeanor, in joco is 5,000.
Punch a guy in a parking lot and it cost more than what this dips**ts did !!???

i really hope instead of just a charge they also give him a ride to the nearest hospital for a mental health evaluation. it’s never about solving the problem itself but instead about how they can profit from it.
