Three people were taken to the hospital Monday morning following a single vehicle accident on Interstate 95 in Johnston County.
The accident happened around 5:30am on the northbound side of the interstate just north of the US 70 Business bridge (Exit 97) in Selma.
A car ran off the interstate and slid deep into the woods on the right shoulder of the interstate. Selma EMS and the Selma Fire Department responded to the scene to treat the injured victims who were taken to Johnston Medical Center. The injuries all appeared to be minor.
The NC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Photos by John Payne
