ZEBULON – Two women were arrested on felony drug charges after deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Around 9:00pm Tuesday, deputies responded to Little River Drive, Zebulon, off NC Highway 96 North, and located the vehicle stopped in a cul-de-sac.

Deputies said two adults and one juvenile were in the car. The adults, identified as Jennifer Carol Jones, 41, of Pine Street, Pikeville, and Cathy Marie Exum, 36, of NC Highway 96 North, Selma were allegedly in possession of a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.

Both women were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Jones was also wanted for failing to appear in court on three drug offenses: possession of cocaine, simple possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jones was held on a $15,000 bond and Exum a $2,500 bond. The juvenile was not charged.
