Midway Grad Named Miss Virginia

Will compete for Miss America title in September
A Midway High School graduate was crowned Miss Virginia 2018 on June 23rd.
Miss Arlington Emili McPhail was crowned during a pageant held at Liberty University’s Center for Music & Worship.
Miss McPhail is the daughter of Kelli and Norman McPhail of Roseboro.
Miss McPhail received a $20,000 scholarship. She will compete in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City in September.
Miss McPhail is a Hollins University senior where she is studying communication and psychology. Her talent was a piano medley from the favorite Broadway musical “The Phantom of the Opera.” Her platform was “Ending Hunger in the U.S.”
