Minivan Crashes Into Tree Near Clayton
CLAYTON – A driver suffered only minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Buffalo Road, south of NC 42 East.
The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. when a minivan veered off the right side of Buffalo Road near Hidden Acres Drive. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn off the roadway and strike a large tree near a singlewide mobile home. The van came to rest on its side.
Emergency responders treated the driver for minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
