FOUR OAKS – Two drivers sustained minor injuries today (Tuesday) after a passenger car and SUV collided on Highway 701 South of Four Oaks near the intersection of Heath Road. The accident was reported around 1:15pm.
One driver was transported to the hospital for treatment. The other was checked out at the scene by Johnston County EMS.
Traffic was temporarily shut down in both directions until the wrecked vehicles could be removed from the roadway.
The NC Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
