Missing Juveniles Located In Florida, Two Suspects Apprehended

CLAYTON – Clayton Police have located two missing juveniles and charged two suspects with kidnapping. On Saturday, May 3 around 10:00am, Clayton Patrol officers responded to a missing persons call on Satinwood Drive. The parents of two juvenile Hispanic females, ages 15 and 14, reported their daughters were missing and were last seen that morning around 1:00AM.

It was unknown at the time if they were picked up by someone but left a note, stating they were leaving with some “guys they met.” Neither female had a phone in their possession when they left the residence.

Police detectives responded and other local law enforcement agencies were notified of their disappearance and descriptions of the missing females. It did appear that both girls left on their own and were not abducted.

Through extensive investigative work, Clayton Police identified two male suspects, Ericson Leonel Ullo-Flores, 18, and Edwin Alberto Cardenas, 22, both of Daytona Beach, Florida. After further investigation and surveillance, warrants were obtained for kidnapping for both men. With assistance from the Daytona Beach, Florida Police Department and Volusia County Florida Sheriff’s Office, both suspects were taken into custody Sunday night.

Clayton Police Chief Greg Tart said both missing female juveniles were located in the same home as the suspects and safely recovered. The females will be returned to their parents. The two suspects remain in custody in Florida pending extradition to North Carolina.

Chief Tart said additional charges are pending.

      • What consequences. Those stupid girls left freely with those two guys. Those guys was just stupid to allow them to come with them. And this has nothing to do with politics. Just mere stupidity. Just like your response.
