More Time, Less Stress: Library Grows Its Popular Wrapping Program

CLAYTON — Holiday gift wrapping just got easier. Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library is expanding its popular “Wrap It Up: Gift Wrapping Station” from a single-day event to a four-day program this year, offering visitors more time and flexibility to prepare for the season.
The free, drop-in service will run during normal business hours from Tuesday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 12 at the library’s temporary location at 446 East Second Street. Geared primarily toward adults, the event gives guests a chance to wrap gifts away from prying eyes at home — no appointment needed.

Participants can take advantage of a full suite of wrapping supplies provided by the library, including paper, bows, tape, scissors, and name tags. Those with a specific aesthetic in mind are welcome to bring their own materials as well.
Holiday music and complimentary cookies will add to the festive atmosphere, creating what organizers describe as a simple, stress-free way to slow down and enjoy the season while getting a practical task done. The event is free and open to the public.
