COATS – A 61 year-old man died in a three vehicle traffic accident, Tuesday afternoon. The collision happened around 2:45pm in the 5300 block of Red Hill Church Road.
According to the Highway Patrol, the operator of a Honda passenger car, headed southbound, stopped to make a left turn, and was waiting for a northbound Chevy pickup to pass.
A Honda motorcycle traveling southbound struck the rear of the Honda, ejecting the motorcyclist into the northbound lane. The victim was struck by the northbound Chevy pickup, authorities said.
The victim was identified as Arthur Leonard Timmerman of Bunn Level.
The fatal crash remains under investigation.
