BENSON – A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital following a traffic accident Friday afternoon outside of Benson.
Johnston and Harnett County emergency crews responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and blue passenger car at the intersection of Highway 27 and Red Hill Church Road.
The operator of the motorcycle was taken by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was treated by EMS at the scene but was not transported.
The NC Highway Patrol is investigating.
