CLAYTON – The Clayton Police Department conducted a multi-agency traffic checking station on Highway 42 East near Clayton Fire Station #2 on Saturday night.
Officers from the Pine Level, Princeton, Selma and Four Oaks Police Departments, deputies from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office , and troopers from the North Carolina Highway Patrol assisted.
The checkpoint produced the following charges:
- 3 Driving While Impaired
- 2 Wanted Persons
- 1 Recovered Stolen Handgun
- 6 Drug Charges
- 45 Other Traffic Misdemeanors and Infractions
