National Right To Life And NC Right To Life, Inc. Endorse Thom Tillis For US Senate

WASHINGTON – National Right to Life and North Carolina Right to Life, Inc. have endorsed pro-life Senator Thom Tillis for reelection to the U.S. Senate.

“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Senator Thom Tillis, whose position on life reflects the values of North Carolina’s voters,” said Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president.

“North Carolina Right to Life, Inc. is very pleased to join National Right to Life in endorsing U.S. Senator Thom Tillis in his reelection efforts to serve in the U.S. Senate for a second term,” stated Barbara Holt, president of North Carolina Right to Life. “As Speaker of the North Carolina House, Thom Tillis worked tirelessly to ensure that the Woman’s Right to Know legislation became law over the veto of then Governor Bev Perdue.”

Thom Tillis opposes abortion on demand, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion. Thom Tillis has maintained a perfect 100 percent pro-life voting record throughout his senate term.

Thom Tillis cosponsored and voted for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would require that a baby born alive during an abortion be afforded the same degree of care that would apply to any other child at the same gestational age.

Thom Tillis cosponsored and voted for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation to protect unborn children at 20 weeks, when the unborn child can feel pain.

Thom Tillis opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion, and he opposes taxpayer funding of abortion providers.

“As Speaker, Thom Tillis supported all of North Carolina Right to Life’s efforts to pass pro-life legislation during his tenure as speaker and has never wavered in his commitment to the pro-life cause since serving in the U.S. Senate,” Holt added.

“All North Carolina voters who are concerned with the right to life should vote to return Thom Tillis to the U.S. Senate, so that he can continue to work to protect the most vulnerable among us,” added Tobias.
