NC Attorney General Candidate Tom Murry Visits Johnston County

KENLY – Tom Murry, Republican candidate for North Carolina Attorney General, spoke at the monthly meeting of the Johnston County Republican Party on Thursday August 3rd held at the American Legion Hall.

“As a Veteran and State prosecutor, I am ready to put public safety first as your next Attorney General,” said Murry. “I pledge to uphold Constitution and the rule of law and defend the police, not defund the police.”

Murry spoke to attendees about his experience as a State Prosecutor in nearby Franklin County, former legislator, and current Judge Advocate (JAG) with the NC National Guard. He focused his remarks on the fentanyl crisis and election integrity. Murry was a sponsor of the first Voter ID bill and served as a top executive at the NC Judicial Branch after leaving elected office. As a JAG, Murry deployed to the Middle East and has been mobilized for several domestic operation mission.

Murry took questions from the audience and said, “We have to stop the North Carolina Department of Justice from turning into Department of Politics.”

Murry continued, “I am ready to lead the largest law firm in North Carolina and I’m asking for your vote.”

He has visited over half the counties in North Carolina.

  1. Too bad most of the republican constituents were not aware…if FB is all they do, it’s really pitiful marketing.

    • It’s because they don’t want to actually involve the constituents. They want us to just vote party line so they can install whoever they want and keep the corruption going.

  2. As a House rep, Murry voted 11 times to *INCREASE* state spending and *EXPAND* the state government. This is NOT the type of fiscal mismanagement that Conservatives want!!! He’s no better than the BIG GOVERNMENT Socialists and $PEND $PEND $PEND Liberals!
