Neuse Charter would like to officially announce that Dr. Amanda Swartzlander has accepted the position of Intermediate Academy Leader. In this new role, Dr. Swartzlander will lead our Intermediate Academy, providing academic and professional support to the students and staff of the Intermediate Academy and directing the daily operations of the Intermediate Academy.
Dr. Swartzlander has over 16 years of experience in education and educational leadership and comes to Neuse Charter most recently from Asheville City Schools where she served as an Assistant Principal at Asheville Middle School.
Dr. Swartzlander will join Neuse Charter in June to aid in the transition to the Intermediate Academy and will assume supervisorial responsibilities effective July 1.
Dr. Swartzlander will be on the Smithfield campus Thursday, April 26 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the high school commons to meet parents and students.
