A new school calendar has been adopted for two Restart Schools for 2017-18. Cooper Elementary and North Johnston Middle are the two ReStart Schools in Johnston County this year.
The schools are operating under North Carolina’s restart program, functioning like a charter school, but still controlled by the public school system.
The Johnston County School Board adopted the 2017-18 attendance calendar at their August 8th meeting.

Both schools scored “D’s” on the latest state school report card. School leaders hope the new restart program can jump start both low performing schools.
