SELMA – A new Dollar General store is headed to Selma. The store will be located on the west side of US 301 North (Pollock Street), just north of Floyd Avenue and south of Selma Middle School.
Developers plan to locate the business on a 1.8 acre parcel of land currently owned by Paul H. Howard. The application to the Town of Selma says the 12,480 square foot building should have minimal impact on traffic in the area.
The new store will employee three to four employees per shift.
The Selma Town Council unanimously approved a rezoning petition for the parcel. Officials did not say how soon the new store will be constructed.
