New Fuel Tank Approved At Selma Oil Terminals

SELMA – Sunoco Midstream has received the go-ahead from the Selma Town Council to add another above-ground fuel storage tank at its petroleum plant on West Oak Street at the Selma Oil Terminals.

Council members voted unanimously on Dec. 9 to approve a special use request for the 19,400-gallon tank, which will be equipped with a double-wall design and a modern leak detection monitoring system. The proposed tank will be considerably smaller than the company’s other fuel storage tanks at the site.

Local attorney Benton Sawrey appeared before the council on behalf of Sunoco Midstream.

No construction timeline was announced for the project.
