New Officer Joins Smithfield Police Department

SMITHFIELD – On August 5, Mayor Andy Moore administered the oath of office to Kelvin Cruz, the newest officer to join the Smithfield Police Department.

Officer Cruz’s hiring helps fill ongoing staffing needs at the department, which still has three vacant officer positions.
