SMITHFIELD – Elaine Andrews received her official oath as Town Clerk during the November 12 meeting of the Smithfield Town Council. Mayor Andy Moore administered the oath.

Andrews has been employed with the town since 1998, serving in a variety of capacities, most recently as its payroll/accounting technician. She replaces Shannan Parrish, who was recently promoted to the position of Human Resources Director.
Andrews attended DeVry University, has Career Readiness Certifications from Johnston Community College as well as Career training from UNC Charlotte’s College of Continuing Education.
