No Injuries After SUV Hits Nursing Home

BENSON, N.C. — No injuries were reported after a vehicle crashed into a nursing home Friday night in Benson.

The accident happened around 8:15 p.m. at Liberty Commons Nursing Home on NC Highway 242 North.

Emergency crews arriving at the scene found the SUV had collided with the rear of the building.

Authorities said neither the driver nor anyone inside the nursing home was injured.

Johnston County EMS evaluated the driver at the scene before releasing them. The Benson Fire Department also responded, along with Johnston County Building Inspections to assess the structure.

The Benson Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
