Not Again… Another Teenager Says He Was Robbed While Buying Marijuana

For the second time this week, a Johnston County teenager said they were robbed while buying marijuana.

A 16 year-old Clayton teen said he went on a social media site to locate an individual he was told could supply him with marijuana.  After contacting the individual they agreed to meet.  Wanting to be safe, the teen told authorities he took a gun to the drug deal.

After arriving at a location in the Cleveland community, the teen said he became afraid and pulled out the gun and pointed it at the alleged dealer.  That’s when the teen said he was held at gunpoint and his money and gun were stolen.

While fleeing, the teen said the suspect fired a gun at him.The bullet grazed his shoe but miraculously did not hit his foot and was not injured.

The incident happened Monday afternoon and was reported a short time later to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an unrelated incident where a 17 year-old teen from Kenly said he was robbed in Micro last Sunday while trying to buy marijuana.  In that case, the victim said the suspect implied he had a gun, punched the teen in the face then stole his cell phone.

The incidents are not believed to be related. At last report, no arrests had been made.
