Alton Gordon “Al” Smith, age 77, died Wednesday morning, December 7, 2022 in UNC Johnston Health. Born October 21, 1945 in Northampton County to the late Cecil Gordon and Christine Roberson Smith, he was preceded in death by his son and brother. Al was a US Air Force veteran.
Surviving are his fiancé, Betty Lou Sauls of the home; son, Dylan McMenamin of Kill Devil Hills and a sister, Pam Smith of Holden Beach.
