Amanda Christine Huggins, 33, passed away on September 16, 2023 in Wake County. She was born on October 27, 1989 in Pitt County to Eileen Wilson Huggins and the late Richard Gentry Huggins. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and grandfather, Katherine Wilson and Talmadge Wilson, and paternal grandmother and grandfather, Mildred Huggins and Richard Huggins.
She is survived by her mother, Eileen Wilson Huggins and sister, Jennifer Kathleen Huggins both of Smithfield. She leaves three loving children, Gentry Savannah King (16), Nicodemus Roger King (8) Jimmy Christian King (2) of Smithfield; as well as the children’s father, Jimmy “Bo” Roger King of Princeton.
Amanda enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones above anything else. She loved horses and horseback riding. She enjoyed fishing and passed that hobby along to her children. She enjoyed gardening and watching the hummingbirds and butterflies. Amanda has always enjoyed art, especially painting. She had such a talent to be able to be good at anything she set her mind to. If there’s a will, there is a way, and she made sure to find the way to get it done. She loved helping people. She would do anything for anyone. Amanda took the time to listen to people’s problems and try to help them work through whatever was on their mind. She was quick to stop and help those with car trouble on the side of the road or an animal in need. Her heart was pure and kind and you could see that throughout her life.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton, NC with Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.
