Newton Grove, NC: Mrs. Angela Faye “Angel” Turnage Lee, age 61, of Hwy 50 passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Freddy Wayne Langston, Rev. Glenn McCullen and Mrs. Rebecca Odell.
Angel was born on January 29, 1962 in Harnett County to the late J. W. and Alice Royal Turnage. She worked as a bookkeeper for Robin Hood Truck Stop for several years before she came home to work alongside her husband on the family farm. Angel had overcome many health challenges including a liver transplant in 2010, after surviving breast cancer at the age of 37. She loved to crochet, work on her sudoku puzzles, and spend time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
Surviving includes her husband of 42 years, Dennis Lee; children, Justin Lee and wife, Brandy, Ashley Thornton and husband, Logan; grandchildren, Madison, Dixie, Jessica, Becca, and Abby; step-granddaughter, Cheyenne; sister, Lisa Bass and husband, David; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Ashley and Logan Thornton, 5249 Harper House Road Four Oaks, NC 27524.
