Annie Hopkins Hocutt, age 88, of Middlesex, passed away on November 29, 2022. Born in Nash County on November 30, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Daniel and Mettie Lyles Hopkins. Her husband was the late Herbert Hocutt. Mrs. Hocutt was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Hocutt Raper; and her siblings Elmer Hopkins, Clarence Hopkins, and Peggy Bissette.
Mrs. Hocutt was a great cook and loved people. Her favorite past times were auctions, yard sales and luncheons with the Golden Girls Ministry.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 2, at 11:00 AM in the Hollywood Cemetery in Middlesex with Dr. Ross Renfrow officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
Surviving are her son-in-law, Steve Raper of Middlesex; granddaughter Amber Raper Stallings and husband Tracy; grandchildren Cayman Stallings, Elizabeth Stallings, Brittany Maddrey and Dillon Stallings; and several nieces and nephews.
