Mrs. Barbara Ann Chavis, age 73, of Lipscomb Road, passed away on May 19, 2022 at Rex UNC Hospital of Holly Springs. Graveside Funeral Service will be held-3:00PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier, NC. Pastor Mark Fenn will officiate.
Mrs. Chavis was born on November 16, 1948 in Cumberland County to the late Foster and Letha Hammonds Chavis. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Chavis. Mrs. Chavis managed department stores prior to retirement and was a member of Evangel Church of Fuquay Varina. She was a loving mother, aunt, and friend.
Surviving includes her sons, Kenneth Raphael Greene, Jr. and Jerry Rodger Vice, Jr as well as nieces, Deanna Chavis Buchanan and Diane Chavis Jones.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:30PM prior to the service on Tuesday.
