Barbara LaRue Hicks Hocutt, 56, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 29. Barbara was born in Johnston County on September 10, 1966 to the late Bobby Carrol Hicks and LaRue Stallings Coppel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Anthony Staples.
She is survived by her daughters, Brandi Hicks of Smithfield, Jamie Langston of Kenly and Courtney Hocutt of Wilson; sisters, Donna Hicks of Lucama, Rhonda Durham of Kenly and Stacey Jackson (Joe) of South Mills; grandchildren, Michelle, Summer, Brayden, Chase, Mason, Skyler and Caroline; nephew, Randy Waddell; and nieces, Jessica Wilson, Julia Waddell Eason and Alyssia Jackson.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel in Princeton with the Evangelist Joe Jackson officiating.
A visitation will be prior to the funeral service on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations. The family will also be receiving friends and family at other times at 8218 Harrell Store Road, Kenly, NC.
