Brenda Evans Petit, 73, from Lucama, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 18, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born March 1, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Patrick Evans and Polly Pendergraft Evans. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester Evans, David Evans, William Evans, and Charlie Jr. Evans; and sister, Betty Evans Batten.

Brenda is survived by her son, Allen Ray Petit; daughter, Belinda Beasley; brother, James Evans; sisters, Marie Marlow and Mary Boyette (Henry); and grandson, James Daniel Beasley. Brenda was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and cherished her time at Pleasant Plain FWB Church. Brenda enjoyed life’s simple joys, including patronizing local restaurants and relaxing while listening to Gospel music.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00am, at Price Cemetery in Pine Level. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions can be made to The Concert Research Foundation in Brenda’s memory at www.donate.cancer.org.
