Mrs. Brenda Tanner Ennis, age 71 of Benson, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church in Benson, NC. Rev. Joe Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ennis was born on September 10, 1950 in Harnett County, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Olin D. Tanner. In her early years of life, Mrs. Ennis worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles in Raleigh and was also a Teacher Assistant. Mrs. Ennis was also the co-owner and operator of Stainless Steel Specialties in Raleigh, NC. She was a member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church outside Benson, NC, where she served in many capacities.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ricky D. Ennis; mother, Louise Tanner; daughters, Renee Underwood and husband, Chris, Amanda Ziady and husband, Chad, and April Johnson and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Dale McGee and fiancé, Mackenzie, Dillon McGee, Sawyer Johnson, and Addalen Johnson; brother, Ronald Tanner and wife, Carol; sister, Bonnie Dunn and husband, Larry; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday May 24, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
