Charles “Duck’ Henry Stuckey

Charles “Duck†Henry Stuckey, age 81, of Pine Level, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31st, 2025, in the SECU Hospice House of Smithfield. Born May 20th, 1944, in Pine Level, he was the son of the late Archie Leon Stuckey and Ethel Creech Stuckey.
Duck was a devoted husband, loving father, and papa who touched countless lives with warmth, quick wit, and a caring heart. He was a long-time member of the Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church. He was a member of the Cardinal Country Club, a fifty-year member of the Selma Masonic Lodge, a member of the Johnston County Shrine Club. He was also a member of the Pine Level American Legion, and a retired volunteer firefighter in Pine Level. He was preceded in death by his brother Billy Harold Stuckey, and sister Jean Stuckey Collier.
Through the years, Duck’s passion for family, golf, and the wholesale floral industry brought smiles and joy to many. His career allowed him to share his contagious enthusiasm with customers spanning multiple states. Doc and Wilma Oliver gave Duck his start in the wholesale floral industry at Cyn-Mar Greenhouses. After serving in the military, Duck went to work with Hanford’s Creations of Charlotte, NC. For the last 25 years, he worked for Regency International of New York City until he retired. He was always passionate to make sure his clients were taken care of.
Duck had a deep love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jerrie, a testament of their love and commitment to one another. They have a son David Charles Stuckey, wife Kathleen, of Clayton, and two wonderful grandchildren, Emily Caroline Stuckey and Turner David Stuckey. Emily and Turner were Duck’s true pride and joy. He is also survived by his brothers; Wayne Stuckey, of Lumberton, Ronnie Stuckey and wife Kathy, of Princeton, sister, Nell Stuckey Phelps and husband Curtis, of Four Oaks, sister-in-law, Patty Crocker of Goldsboro, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, at 3:00pm at Parrish Funeral Home Chapel in Selma, NC. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Flowers are acceptable, or memorial contributions may be made to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home at 7907 Buck Deans Rd, Middlesex, NC 27557.
