Knightdale, NC: Mr. Don Penny, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM-Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Ray Rogers will officiate.
Mr. Penny was born on November 3, 1959 in Harnett County, NC to the late Hubert Raeford and Mary Edna Capps Penny. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Ray Penny and Raeford Earl Penny. Mr. Penny was a contract dump truck driver. He loved fishing, his dogs, and his family.
Surviving include his wife of 10 years, Kellie Taylor-Penny; son, Daniel Siers; sisters, Carol Holton and husband, Roger; and Connie Barr and husband, Frank; sister-in-law, Emily Penny; special dog, Maverick; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis TN 38105.
