Glenda Parker Langston, 84, of Newton Grove, passed away in the early hours on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Smithfield Manor Nursing & Rehab.
She was born on October 9, 1939 to the late Sherman and Nora Best Parker.
The outdoors was her favorite place to be, whether that be woodworking, horse riding, four wheeling, riding motorcycles. She also enjoyed sewing with her sewing machine. She lived her life to the fullest, and nothing slowed her down.
Glenda is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Langston; son, Bobby Langston, Jr.; and brothers, Sherwood Parker and Gary Parker.
She is survived and loved by: her daughter, Janet Barefoot (Mike); sisters, Gale Smith, Joy Langdon, and Debbie Harrington (Bill); Grandchildren, Joshua Jernigan (Karen), Jordan Woodcock (Zachry), Amanda Gregory (Shon), Cortney West (Wesley), Cassidy Barefoot; Great-Grandchildren, Easton Jernigan, Walker Jernigan, Nainoa Gregory, Naleo Gregory, Ben West and Jep West.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM at West & Dunn Funeral Home of Newton Grove with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of Janet & Mike at 1805 US 701 S., Four Oaks, NC, 27524.
She will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Christian Church Cemetery of Four Oaks.
Flowers are welcome.
