Dunn, NC: Mrs. Hilda Grace Parker Barefoot, 90, of Godwin Lake Road passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Lee and Mr. Gordon Jackson.
Mrs. Barefoot was born in Johnston County on January 19, 1931 to the late John B. and Lettie Elizabeth Moore Parker. Mrs. Barefoot was preceded in death by her husband, Roby Edward Barefoot; sons, Johnny Barefoot, Donald Gale Barefoot, Bobby “Ro-Ho” Barefoot; brother, Stacey Parker. She was a chicken farmer, worked at Chicopee, and at Walmart until she retired at the age of 83.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonya B. Wall and husband, Ronnie of Dunn; daughter-in-law, Carol Barefoot of Benson; grandchildren, Brice Barefoot and wife, Elizabeth, Bret Barefoot and wife, Kelli, Lindsey Perini, Chasity Romito and husband, Kris, Jo-Beth Raynor and husband, Brandon, and Lance McLamb; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Parker of Dunn; special niece, Cherie Sherron and husband, Dale; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Transitions Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Face coverings are not required, but are kindly recommended for all services.
