Jacquelin Lynetter Wallace

Jacquelin Lynnette Wallace, age 46, of Metropolis, Illinois, (formerly of Erwin), passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

She was born in Orange County, NC on March 21, 1980 to parents, Jerry Everett Capps and Jacquelin Gail Lucas Capps. She is a graduate of Triton High School.

Lynnette is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Everett Capps, and little brother, Jeremy Eric Capps.

Survivors include her mother, Jacquelin Lucas Capps; her husband, Craig Wallace, of Metropolis, Illnois; daughters, Lilly Reno and Jessie Reno, of Kentucky. Also brother, Shane MacDonald (wife Michelle) of Erwin.

Lynnette was a Registered Nurse and traveled all over the United States providing care and treatment for others. She was also an avid gospel singer. She was often requested to sing at events and has sang the Star-Spangled Banner, our National Anthem, 290 times for the National Guard. The Secretary of State of North Carolina, Elaine Marshall, selected her to sing at her inauguration.

Lynnette was very loved and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 AM at Erwin Memorial Park Cemetery located at South 18th Street, Erwin, NC 28339.
