Raleigh, NC: Mr. James Chester “J.C.” Adams, age 88, of Fairway Drive passed away on October 31, 2022 at Springbrook Rehabilitation Center in Clayton, N.C. surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held-3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Johnson. Burial will follow in Roselawn

Mr. Adams was born on October 8, 1934 in Johnston County to the late Chester Arthur and Ella Mae Dunn Adams. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Adams and son, Anthony Brooks Adams.
Mr. Adams grew up farming in his community and later became an entrepreneur of sorts and owned a trucking company prior to retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Surviving includes his sons, Michael Lynn Adams, Terry Lee Adams, and James Kevin Adams and wife, Jody; grandchildren, Shannon Lee Hinson, Brooks Lee Adams, and Jamie Lou Adams; siblings, Doris McLamb and husband, Earl, Leroy Adams, Arthur “Rayvon” Adams and wife, Connie, Rachel Bailey, and Judy Gealy and husband, Sam; and several nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, N.C.
