James Olive

James Olive, 75, formerly of Smithfield and Pine Level, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

He was the son of the late Charlie and Frances Curran Olive; Mr. Olive is predeceased by his brothers Paul, David, and Stevie.

James was a respected homebuilder in Johnston County. He took great pride in crafting homes where families could grow, celebrate, and make memories.

He is survived by his daughters Sarah Olive Vaughan (Robert) and Kaitlin Olive Warren (Dallas), as well as four grandchildren: Krislyn Catherine Vaughan, Temperance Noelle Vaughan, Robert Alan Vaughan, and Stella Claire Warren.

No services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont.
