James Paul Radford

James Paul Radford, 78, formerly of Princeton, passed away at his home in Sneads Ferry, NC on Monday, August 4, 2025. James was born on December 9, 1946 to the late Arthur Luther Radford and Cinda Bryant Radford. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Thomas “Tommy” Radford and Eddie Arnold Radford, and an infant grandson.

James Paul loved fishing at the beach and with his boat in the river. He liked flounder gigging and setting nets. He didn’t like that Teresa usually caught the biggest fish. James Paul also really enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at his daughter’s.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Johnson Radford; daughter, Glory Radford of Rosewood, Lois Radford of Raleigh, Joyce Radford; sons, Harvey Culbreth of Mt. Olive and William Culbreth of Goldsboro; brothers, Charles Radford of Pine Level and Richard Radford of Tennessee; sisters, Lucinda Cole of Goldsboro, Abbie Crowder of Goldsboro; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 special grandchildren, Teresa Renae Holland and Laci Paul Radford.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

The Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with the Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating. The committal will take place at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
