Jesse Harold Holloman, age 80, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in his home of Selma. He is preceded in death by his father, James Henry Holloman, mother, Cassie Evans Holloman, brothers; Herman Holloman, Thelbert Holloman, Eddie Holloman, Frank Holloman, Cecil Holloman and his sister, Catherine Woodard.
His favorite times were spent with family and grandchildren. He lived to spend time with them and relax around his home. He loved to build things and work with his hands ever since he was little. From making homemade bow and arrows, to rabbit catching boxes, or stacking two bricks to make a truck and pushing it around in the sand at his childhood home or in the yard. He enjoyed building and growing things. He continued to do this with jobs spent in a greenhouse and building homes as a carpenter. He loved making biscuits, sewing pillowcases, fixing shirts, and other projects with his grandchildren in recent years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 58 wonderful years, Carolyn Holloman, brother, Jimmy Holloman, son, Tim Holloman and wife Betsy, son, Chris Holloman and wife Liza, and grandchildren; Michael, Abbey, Laney, Luke, and Caden.
