Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Johnny Mack Lane, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Four Oaks United Methodist Church in Four Oaks, NC. Rev. Joey Yow will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cicero Parker Family Cemetery outside Four Oaks, NC.
Mr. Lane was born on August 7, 1955 in Johnston County, NC to the late Oscar Clyde Lane, Sr., and Doris Ellen Massengill Lane. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Noah Eugene Lane, Jackie Lynn Lane, Joan Kay Storey, Jan Leigh Barwick, Jay Dee Lane, and several half-brothers and sisters. Mr. Lane was in the lawn maintenance business, and attended Four Oaks United Methodist Church in Four Oaks, NC.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Lois Creech; daughter, Ashley Wood and husband, Tyler; granddaughter, Autumn Wood; sisters, Janice Powell, and Patricia Greene; brothers, Oscar Clyde Lane, Jr., and James Elmer Lane; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the graveside committal service at the cemetery, and other times at the home of his sister, Janice Powell 200 S. Rogers Drive, Smithfield, NC 27577.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
