    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Jose Luis Ayala Cancel, who left us on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the age of 47. He was a devoted husband, loving father, caring son and brother, and exceptional friend. Born on April 29, 1977, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.

    Jose was known for his ingenious nature, and his warm personality allowed him to connect with everyone he encountered at different times in life.

    Jose had a passion for drawing and painting, which reflected his creative spirit. He was a fan of Michael Jackson and enjoyed the rhythms of life, often sharing his love for music with family and friends. As an avid basketball fan, he spent many afternoons enjoying the sport. He was known to have big ideas, a huge curiosity, and creativity, which drove him to learn new things and start new endeavors.

    Above all, Jose loved his family, his wife Sandra, his four children Astrid, Bryanna, Alexandra, and Xavier, and his beloved mother Noemi. His family was his greatest joy, and his most valuable treasure, he dedicated his life to nurturing their dreams and aspirations.

    Jose’s warmth and charisma will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and all of those who were honored to have the privilege of knowing him, his legacy will live on as time passes inspiring those around him with his kindheartedness, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.

    His strength and love for life will be a remembrance of hope and resilience that will never be forgotten.

    Rest in peace dear “Daddy” you will live always in our hearts.

    A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jose’s life at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-2:00pm, just prior to the service. A committal service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 3:00pm.

    Jose was preceded in death by his mother, Noemi Cancel, his grandfather, Ponce Ayala, and grandmother, Martha Cancel.

    He is survived by his wife Sandra Avalos, his children: Alexandra Ayala, Bryanna Ayala, Astrid Ayala, and Xavier Ayala, his father Luis Ayala and sisters Carmen and Wendy Ayala.
