Lillington, NC: Mrs. Judith Ann Denning Wood, age 76, of Walt Johnson Road passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Cecil. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery in Lillington, NC.
Mrs. Wood was born on July 25, 1946 in Harnett County to the late Ezra and Gladys Clayton Denning. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Lewis Wood, Jr.; brothers, Fred Thomas Denning, Jerry Lee Denning, and Linwood Denning; and sisters, Ruth Dennis and Patty Sue Denning. Prior to retirement, she was a commercial underwriter with Nationwide Insurance Company. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Survivors include her son, John Wood and wife, Nena; step-son Lewis Wood and wife, Stacy; grandsons, Nathan Walters and Brayden Walters; sisters-in-law, Laura Denning and Gail Denning; and many nieces, nephews, and other grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
