Julia Ann “Judy” Hewett Davis, age 69, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family in UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born January 15, 1953 in New Hanover County she was the daughter of the late Harvey Daniel and Julia Crumpler Hewett. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Daniel Hewett, Jr.
Judy enjoyed cooking, planting flowers and most of all, spending time with her 3 granddaughters, that were her world.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Baker’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Lloyd Davis; daughter, Judy Lynn Johnson and husband Dexter (her favorite son-in-law) of Wilson’s Mills; brother, William Earl Hewett and wife Sharon of Wilmington; granddaughters, Gracie Johnson, Lilly Faith Johnson, Julianna Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
